Jill Slocombe

Jill joined Crowther in early 2024, supporting the administration department, having worked for several years providing administrative support to a financial advising company, which included processing mortgages and liaising with clients.

Jill has a varied role within Crowther. She is often the first voice that a client hears when calling the office and is in regular contact with many of our clients while supporting all of the Crowther team. Jill also looks after several clients’ bookkeeping and VAT returns and assists the payroll team. Her colleagues describe her as approachable and willing to help anyone when needed. They also describe her as always bubbly and friendly.

When Jill is not at work, she is kept busy as a mum to two sons, whether cooking for them or giving them lifts here, there, and everywhere. Every day, she finds time to walk with her third baby, Ralf the dog. She loves nothing more than spending time with her family and catching up with friends over a bottle of Prosecco or two. Her next mission is also to take up a new hobby: learning to sew.

Jill is a dark horse. She was a show jumper and then, for many years, travelled the country, competing in racing against the clock horse carriages. Her claim to fame is that Prince Philip was a spectator at a competition she participated in. Jill’s role model is Noel Fitzpatrick (the Super vet). As she says, ‘He goes over and beyond to help animals.’ There is no doubt that Jill loves animals. It’s, therefore, no surprise that Jill’s childhood ambition was to become a vet.
